Città Reticolari

Città Reticolari

This series of maps was inspired both by my semester in Italy, and the book Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino. I used found photography as well as my own from my travels to illustrate a map based on the passage written about each fictional city.

Off the Leash

Off the Leash

“Off the Leash: The Work of Melinda Beck” is a catalog of artwork by Melinda Beck. After being supplied with the words and images, it was my job to design the book’s layout and typography. I used cues from Beck’s artwork to create motifs for various quotes, drop caps and page numbers. By doing this, the reader gets the sense of Beck’s artwork style and attitude without having to read a single word.
